October 2: A Non-Horror Film That's Just As Terrifying As a Horror Film

Recommended: Dear Zachary
Another option: Enemy

After I saw Dear Zachary, I was destroyed for at least a week. There's a part of me that wishes I had never seen it, because I think a little joyful part of me died that night. This documentary starts off as a moving tribute to a slain doctor, but then takes a horrible, massively dark and disturbing turn. If you want to know what true evil is, you'll see it in this film.

Enemy is a surprisingly unsettling film about a professor who discovers he has a doppelgänger. The two meet and let's just say that things don't go as planned. Enemy is a film so existentially terrifying and with such a shocking ending, in my opinion, it's just one breath away from being a true horror film.
